1. Who we are

Huddlo ("we", "us", "our") is a community events discovery platform connecting people with real-world events, clubs, and meetups. We operate the Huddlo mobile application and the website at huddlo.app.

2. Information we collect

When you register for an event:

Name and email address
Phone number (optional)
Registration status and timestamps

When you join our waitlist:

Email address
Signup timestamp

When you use the Huddlo app:

Account information (name, email, profile photo)
Events you host or attend
Clubs you join or create
Location data (only when you explicitly share it)

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

Send you event registration confirmations and reminders
Notify you when a waitlist spot becomes available
Send you a launch notification when Huddlo goes live (waitlist signups only)
Display your profile and event participation within the app
Improve the Huddlo platform and user experience

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Transactional emails

We use Resend to deliver transactional emails (registration confirmations, event reminders, waitlist notifications). Your email address is shared with Resend solely for this purpose. Resend's privacy policy is available at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

5. Data storage

Your data is stored in Supabase — a secure, SOC 2 Type II certified cloud database hosted on AWS (ap-south-1, Mumbai region). Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2+.

6. Data retention

Event registrations are retained for 2 years after the event date
Waitlist entries are retained until you unsubscribe or Huddlo launches
App account data is retained while your account is active

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Withdraw consent to receive emails at any time

8. Cookies

The Huddlo website uses no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. We may use strictly necessary session cookies for authentication purposes only.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of Huddlo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
